Harvey Ewing Chappell, 81, passed away at his residence in Centralia, Wash, on Sept 7, 2017.
He was brought into this world on Sept 20, 1935, in Onalaska, Wash; the son of William and Olga (Gish) Chappell. He married Dianna (Hickman) Smith on Oct 23, 2010, at the Chehalis Moose Lodge.
Harvey proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to 1956, and was part of the reserves until 1962.
Harvey was a member of several organizations, including the Marine Corps League, VFW, American Legion, DAV, and Moose Lodge....

Harvey is preceded in death by his parents, William and Olga; adopted son, Darry; stepdaughter, Sheri Lynn Butterworth; great- granddaughter, Destiny; sisters, Lorna Rose Chappell and Betty Music; and his brothers, William George Evans, Richard Evans, Robert Chappell, Elmer Chappell, and Gerald Chappell.
He is survived by his wife, Dianna; daughters, Carlene, Kim Kingery, and Jineen Music; sons, Rodney Chappell, Talon, Brady, and Lakotia Maddox, and twin sons Alan and Arlan; his stepchildren, Kenny (Kristin) Butterworth, Jill (Johnny) Butterworth Gonzales, Jeff (Letha) Butterworth, and Sheila (Mike) Wink; sister Joann (Sparky) Wulmouth; and brothers, Edgar (Chris)Chappell, and Bill Chappell; 37 grandchildren; 53 great- grandchildren; 15 great- great grandchildren; and numerous other family members.
A Celebration of Harvey's life with Military Honors and a potluck reception will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, Sept 14, 2017, at Fort Borst Park Kitchen #2.
